Who am I?
My name is Sana Mohiuddin
I am a first generation American, a licensed professional counselor with an emphasis in family systems, a couples specialist and a trauma therapist. I bring together my experiences as a child of immigrants and my trainings as therapist in my counseling office. I use all of this to help clients heal and build skills to find their way to a healthier, more fulfilling life.
Sabaahath Latifi, LCPC
.I am a licensed clinical professional counselor with over 10 years of experience. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University and am trained in a range of therapeutic approaches, including various CBT modalities, internal family systems, and trauma-informed care. Additionally, I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and I am currently working towards full certification.
My experience is primarily in working with women who have experienced trauma and abuse, are struggling with depression, anxiety, body image issues, self-worth, relational concerns and conflict, and stress management. Additionally, I work with couples and families in navigating communication difficulties or high levels of conflict and coping with various life stressors.
My therapeutic approach is holistic, focusing on understanding individuals as a whole and helping them identify goals and needs to promote their overall health and wellness. I utilize a strengths-based approach and also recognize the profound impact of trauma on the body, and I integrate both into treatment. As a therapist, I have an empathic and direct approach, creating a space where my clients feel supported while being gently challenged to grow. I believe that transformation happens when we face discomfort with curiosity and courage, and I encourage clients to lean into that process. My goal is to listen and actively engage, offering insights that push clients toward deeper self-awareness and change.
I prioritize emotional and spiritual wellness, recognizing that healing extends beyond the mind and into the soul. By integrating somatic care and mindfulness, I help clients connect to their bodies and inner experiences, fostering a deeper sense of self-awareness and peace. Whether you are seeking clarity in relationships, wanting to heal from trauma, battling anxiety, or navigating life's many stressors, I am committed to guiding you toward a lifestyle that reflects health and wellness and cultivates resilience, inner strength and balance.
